3 Top Biotech LinkedIn Profile Tips

Biotech LinkedIn Tips

You’ve probably heard that LinkedIn is vital to your biotech job search. That’s because it is. Biotech recruiters and hiring managers are looking for candidates—just like you—to fill hot, new biotech jobs. So, with this in mind, I wanted to share three of my top tips for a biotech LinkedIn profile:

  1. Personalize: You want your LinkedIn profile to inspire recruiters to reach out to you--and the number one way to inspire action is to make sure it reflects you and tells your story. Don't fall into the trap of "copying" someone else's profile. Instead frame your unique experience in light of what the hottest biopharma companies are recruiting for.

  2. Update: Your LinkedIn profile is more than just a place holder or another online profile. It's not there simply for your NEXT job search.⁣It’s your personal brand--your gateway to building industry connections, your invitation to network with those you’ve never worked with or been in the same room with. ⁣It's an invaluable way to build connections with movers and shakers in the industry and the key to helping you level up your career or land that next position with the hottest start up around. ⁣

  3. Network: The ironic thing about LinkedIn is that the goal becomes to actually get off of LinkedIn. The whole point is to build your business connections so that you can take the relationships into real life. A profile you feel proud of is the jumping off point, from there you want to reach out and make connections.
